I know of one J/30 owner who increased his propeller shaft size from 3/4 to 7/8. Is this a common upgrade to reduce vibration and whirl? At the same time, did anyone replace the log/stuffing box assembly? Mine works well but is hard to inspect because the rubber hose and clamps are partly burried in glass. I'm concerned about rubber 20 years old!
