J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Mast Step Rebuild

Anyone have any input on mast step rebuild process? Looks like I need to cut out area forward of bulkhead, rebuild step (use g10?) and then make it look nice. Just trying to get any input from someone who has done this. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks
