Check for core rot in the transom around the exhaust port. Pretty much all J30 have issues here. It spreads forward in to the hull on the starboard side.
And check the bulkheads where the chainplates mount.
Also core rot under winches, and around the anchor locker.
Those are the worst parts.
Recommend adding slugs to the mainsail luff.
Really needs a deeper keel and rudder. Other than that its a pretty awesome boat!
