J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Replacing original 2GM with a 2YM15

A fellow club member did this swap a few years ago. The transmission is different and is not swappable to the 2YM. The exhaust has a tall loop on port side requiring the cutting of the engine compartment bulkhead. He did it himself with the boat in the slip. About $7K for the engine with transmission......
