I'd be surprised if (1) anyone has spent the extra $ on carbon for any J/30 sail (over Kevlar); and (2) built a #2 since the sail became optional--though I must say I've been tempted. Why not just buy new Kevlar headsails and a Dacron Main? Are there really 30' racer cruisers on Lake Erie using full carbon inventories?
