For Quantum sails, I would consult your Quantum rep. Here in Annapolis, there are a lot of folks using Quantums. They probably have put together a sail tuning guide. For a more generic guide, the Banks sails guide is available on this site at
www.j30.org/html/technical/tuning_guide.html To prevent the headfoil from slapping, we wrap the spinnaker pole topping lift around the headfoil then clip it to the pole downhaul. The slight amount of tension on the line prevents the plastic extrusion from flapping about.
