My backstay arrangement is rather similar to Dave's. I'll get a pic when the boat is in the water later this month.
A couple of differences:
- We have twice the purchase... methinks the boys in Nola are a bit bigger than I when the wind is up in the 20+ range.
- We run the line down to the bottom of the cockpit, then forward, rather than along the coaming.
Works pretty well for us.
