David - I think Rob is referring to the throttle/transmission control, not the engine panel.

I looked 2 years ago for a replacement control because the shaft with the knob that you pull to disengage the transmission from the throttle had sheared off. Instead of replacing the entire control, I was able to fabricate the part from brass stock. Disassembling, cleaning it up and liberal amounts of grease to keep water from infiltrating around the brass shaft have proven successful.
