I have no input on what happened to the hurricane boats. However, in my search for a replacement boom I noticed that Rig Rite sold new rudder hardware. You can look them up on the web at
www.rigrite.com. Please note that this is not an endorsement for Rig-Rite as other J/30 owners, in this forum, have advised about difficulties in doing business with them. So far, my experience with Rig-Rite has been good (that is if you don't mind doing business by fax). I have a new boom section on order that Rig Rite claims will ship in three weeks. I will advise of my success.
