I think that this is a very reasonable point. We need to be sure that we can support owners who want to keep the boat in one design trim, that's vital to keeping the fleets healthy.
On the rudder front, one also wonders if there aren't a few ratteling around from boats which were writeoffs in Katrina. Some of those will probably get re-built, but several looked to be total losses. Ditto other major bits.
