If you are servicing Barient winches that were on the coachroof like my boat (hull 447), then you have to remove the winch from the deck. Next, remove the ring from underneath that holds the shaft in place. It is a little difficult to get to, but with a small screwdriver and some patience you can get it off. As far as zincs, my engine only has one, and I needed a very large wrench to get it off the last time.
