Forward of the bulkhead, I see two limber holes. The aftmost one is in the molded plastic near the mast step. This one drains into the bilge fairly well.
However, forward of the molded plastic, there's a limber hole drilled through the wood floor of the cabin sole, along the center line, just forward of the mast step. While the hole itself is open, there must be a clog between it and the bilge, since I can have an inch or two of water standing there when it rains.
(And I think I might have caused this problem. I had to sand the floor in that area prior to varnishing, I'm almost certain some sawdust went down there. Which makes the problem more frustrating - water standing on my freshly varnished floor!)
Has anyone had this happen before? Any advice on how to deal with it? What's the geometry in that area like? Where's it supposed to drain?
