J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Looking for a J-30 to buy

Hello,
I'm looking at buying a J-30. I plan to race it one-design and do some crusing too. Could anybody tell me what the weight difference is between the older models with a fiberglass floor, and the newer ones with a full interior (teak & holly sole, celling, etc.) is? Does it make any difference for racing?
