My Navman instruments don't display for months after it rains (and by the way I live on "the wet coast" so that pretty much means most of the year). The local dealer informed me a while ago that water ingress is a known problem and won't even sell old stock of the same instrument suite. I finally took them out Thursday night. My aircraft maintenance engineer friend will try to pull them apart and coat the boards for me in an attempt to render them weatherproof. I will keep the board apprised of the progress.
