J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Favoured rig tune setup?

Is there any danger to the rig if you have set your shrouds to the settings as described above in Steve Buzbee's text for 5-7Kts and during the race the winds unpredictably increase to 15-18kts?...Or is it no danger , but you just don't have the optimum settings
