Charlie Stoddard sent me the ebay link for this. This boat is literally in my back yard - at the marina around the corner from where I live. It's been on the hard since 2002 and needs some TLC. Anyone interested in a second J/30 as a project or parts? Bids close 11 Nov 5pm EST. Any folks interested in joining for a potential project boat? Charlie and I are going to speak tonight before the NBYA meeting.

Yes - that's where it has been on the hard since 2002.

Bids closed - it sold for $2325 - $25 more than Bill, Mark & Charlie offered 15 seconds before the close. I took some more pictures at lunch that I'll post later. It needs some work to sail again....

Let's hope that a sailor, not a salvager, got her. It would be nice to see another J30 on Narragansett Bay.

I am working on setting up a Sea Scouts program here in Naples ... more on that this summer if it is successful this winter ... but that would have been a great project for a venture troop.
AND I DON'T MEAN restoring everything to like new. There are a lot of Fast Fixes that look OK but don't take hundreds of hours. It is a great team sailing boat... and with "SAILING" being the key word.
If this kind of a deal comes up again .... give me a call for a cut.

Hi All, My Name is Jim Hilton, owner/operator of EBCS Marine Survey home based it Tiverton, RI. I am excited to get Kaos back into sailing condition. If anyone has a spare propeller, either fixed or folding....I am in need, as hers is missing. Please give me a shout 401-864-7161 ebcs@cox.net Thanks!

For Jim's request, Kaos has a 3/4" diameter shaft in need of a prop. Jim - I would post this request in the J/30 Marketplace under the Looking to Buy Something section, as people outside the SNE district may not read this forum.
