The online system is setup so that you can enter your order, shipping information and pay by PayPal (desired payment mode), Credit Card, or mail a check.

At the 5 August 2010 BOG meeting, the class leadership reviewed proposals from three sources to produce class flags in two colors - red and blue. The approved price was $60 per flag plus shipping. Prices will increase from $60 to $110 effective 31 August 2011. This is needed to cover increased costs, and is still a very good value when you compare the J/30 Flag to other custom flags of simlar size and quality. Flag orders are shipped immediately from inventory in stock.

The official class specifications are outlined below:
  • Material - Marine Grade Nylon (fade resistant and water repellent)
  • Color - solid background Red or Blue with J/30 Logo in white contrasting the background.
  • Dimensions - 61"x28"x65"x47" Raked Rectangle
  • Edge Finish - All edges folded over and sewn, or heat sealed to prevent fraying
  • Leading Edge Finish - #5 luff tape for head foil use or free fly
  • Halyard Attachment - Edge by halyard reinforced and either grommets or sewn in loops top and bottom for halyard attachment

14 December 2010 Update

Thanks to Neil Borne and Benz Faget at the North Sails New Orleans loft, the J/30 Class flags are flying out the door. The first set of orders have shipped. You can see the actual stock on hand when you order your flag. Flags are shipped via US Postal Service from inventory on hand.

We've had to make some shipping cost adjustments based on what we learned for the 1st group of flag shipments.

1. Flags shipped to a Louisiana address will be charged 4% sales tax.
2. Shipping costs to Canada have been increased to reflect the actual costs of shipping and required customs declarations. Shipping charges are as follows for 1 flag:
$10.00 US, $22.00 Canada, $24.00 Europe
For 2 flags in same shipment:
$12.00 US, $28.00 Canada, $30.00 Europe

Rhapsody's flag arrived and it looks great!

26 July 2011 Update

New Smaller J/30 Class Flag to be Offered

There are some updates coming for the J/30 online store. The North Sails New Orleans Loft has agreed to add smaller J/30 Class flags to the inventory. These are intended to be flown from the backstay and used as a class flag for events that host multiple classes. The flags will be approximately 12 inches tall with a top and bottom grommet, or loops that small line could be attached to so it could be tied on. The colors offered will be similar to the larger size J/30 flags. These flags will be offered for $29.95 each, plus $7.00 shipping and handling in the US. We'll need to determine the shipping costs outside the US and will report that later. Stay tuned for an announcement and a photo of these flags as soon as they are in stock. We will update the online order system when these new flags are available.

Large J/30 Class Flag Price Increase

Unfortunately, the cost of procuring the larger J/30 flags has gone up. Any flag ordered through 31 August 2011 will remain at $60. The prices will increase to $110 per flag after that date.
