J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Districts Pacific Northwest District New to the Seattle area, looking for a J/30

I sailed quite a bit as a teenager in my home town of Chicago and I recently moved to the Seattle area and looking to buy a J/30 so I can get back into the sport. Doesn't need to be a perfect boat but I'm only interested in 84-86 models with the newer cockpit and galley design.

Great welcome to the area. Have you looked at any boats yet?
I have not checked the list lately to see what is on the market.

if you scroll back on my posts in the one design fleet I mapped all the boats so I know where they are.
the largest concentration is right near you in Everett.
You looking to race?

I know of two that might be on the market soon. the owners are looking at bigger boats. I have told one of them so if you see him pop up here you will know why.

I haven't looked at any boats yet, I'm still trying to figure out what (if any) boats are on the market. I'm also trying to figure out what costs I'm looking at, such as harbor fees, dry dock fees, etc. so I can have a clear estimate as to what I can afford.

have you Bean out on a J30? I will assume yes and that is why you chose the boat? there are some races coming up if you want to get out on the watter.
