Here it is. 6-25-11 BHPHRF/ CPYC Constitution cup 2 races 7-29 thru 7-31-11 NOOD regatta 8-21-11 CPYC JFK regatta 2 races 9-17/18th Hull Yacht Club great chase race. Sunday J-30 class racing. We need to have six boats at each of these events so please try to make these events. Your boat does not need to be in one design configuration, the class has decided to use phrf ratings to keep things equal.

Hi Luke,
Can you define "use PHRF ratings to keep things equal" please? Does that mean that we will race under PHRF ratings and correct times after the finishes, or will we allow any sail configuration and race as "one design" from a finsh place = finish place perspective.
Thanks,
Jon

Hey John, yes we will race under phrf and correct times afterwards. I would love to see everybody in a one-design configuration, but in reality and to promote the j-30 in the boston area, I believe this is the best way to encourage racing. thanks for coming on thursday and I look forward to the weekend in Hull in late September. Luke

Fellows, A different topic, I just enjoyed a nice experience sailing this short (43NM) overnight race - http://cycboston.org/racing/JMCR2011pdf.pdf - organized by Norman Martin from Constitution Yacht Club. Norman is planning for a remake on Columbus Day Weekend, Oct 7th this year. Hope to see you there... Chasing closely matched competitors spinnaker shadows over the coast lights... nice :-) See you Saturday... although I have some difficulty finding a crew (beside my wife). week-end is a specific challenge for crew with family...

The Nood registration is open. For more info please google Marblehead noods. I will have the party schedule out soon for that weekend. Looking forward to the regatta we should have some new blood out there.
