Tacktick owners. Do you find it frustrating that you have a 0.00 display below 1 knot. Tacktick says this is normal, that starting at 1 kt saves unnecessary log input. How bout that.
My old Signet system worked in that range and I know how exciting .20 or .6 kts can be.

Another annoyance: when both paddlewheel speed and GPS SOG are present, the system uses paddlewheel speed for all true wind calculations - which means that current set and drift is not being corrected out of the true wind calculations.

Asked them about this and they said "this is what the pro's prefer", which doesnt seem to make it any more right.

I'm going to install a switch so i can turn the paddlewheel on and off (thereby switching the speed used to calculate true wind).
