I am needing info on how to remove the board below the counter in the head. I have a new head and want to be able to get access to the valve and hoses behind the board. I removed all the visible screws and the five screws I felt inside the cubby. The board is still in place on top and I don't want to do damage that will make this job even bigger.

I think shelf is screwed in from the bottom as it has formica on it. There should be no valving only the hose that runs thru in to the V berth area. It's been about 10 years since I replaced all the hoses so the memory is a little rusty but you should be able to work the replacement hose thru with out issues

I concur with Charlie, unless someone modified the valve scheme. There are no valves located inside that cabinet area on Rhapsody. The sanitary waste valves are all located under the v-berth. The hoses do run through the cabinet, but you do not need to take the cabinet apart to snake the hoses.

The screws holding the lower facing to counter were buried under the trim ledge. I would avoid the cabinet work if possible. I had to replace that piece after removal for bulkhead repairs.it was FUBAR'd. Rather you Snake in the hose. Disconnect the sink from drain, connect the hose then reconnect to sink

I think Break Away is trying to get access to the diverter valve for the holding tank. I had to replace one and it is a true bitch to do. It was frozen open ... duh ... and we needed to get a no discharge permit in RI inspection.

Yes I have the same issue. The diverter Valve for the holding tank is stuck open and the handle broke. I can get my hand up in there but being 6'1 and 250. My hands are big too.

Roger, roger ... minerals in water seem to lock this valve tight. I also broke handle.
I was able to unscrew the antisiphon valve from the hull [3 screws] to provide a little more room to play with the hoses and was able to do it that way. If I remember right I also had to unscrew the top cap on the antisiphon to get a bit more room, but I may also have had to pull one hose completely off the antisiphon loop to get the hoses back on the new valve.

But on the photo with the red arrows there is a inside wood strip that apparently is glued to the plywood face and then vertical screws seem to lock it into the shelf, but that edge may be glued as well?
