I'm thinking that starboard is what the boat yard was talking about 6 years ago when I needed a couple of rails to repair damage ... they said then starboard or teak -- coin toss. King starboard does have a competitor called SeaBoard, which is supposed to be less expensive.
re earlier post ... I checked at home depot today and that specific piece of plastic composite plank is not available as it was last time I used it. I like the way they rounded the edges.
They do have a 3/4 [real] PVC board that I'm thinking to use for the toe rails for the j24 ... But I think we need 1 in. for the j30. Waterline's price for a PVC toe rail for the J24 is ~$450 ... my budget at home depot is $60.
