As a follow-up on Feriation, Kieran Quinn reported that the insurance company has totaled the boat, but that it is very fixable and being offered for salvage. He posted the boat for sale for salvage from the insurance company at this link. There is a very good description there of the damage, and everything that he has done to the boat.

Somebody please buy this J/30 to fix up. I hate to see boats parted out.

I am also in the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Marina and had just minor damage. Where is Walter Thomas' J/30 located and what is the boat name? I would like to meet up at some point....

Walter has hull number 393. He is from NYC but not sure where he keeps the boat. Go to the menu at the top, mouse over "Fleets" and click on directory. You can get his email by mousing over his name in the directory list.

If you do contact him, let me know where he sails the boat, and invite him to join the J/30 Forum. He doesn't have an account.
