No thanks should be offered to Sandy! But true we'd like to see more J/30s in the area.

Margay may not make the 1984 threshold, but she is a 1983 hull (455) and for sale.
She has been recently posted for sale on the site.

I am considering selling Dexterity, built in 1984.

interesting to note that #455 was a transition boat and does have the 500 series deck but the original interior.

Having owned two 500 series, and a 300 series ... the combination of the earlier interior and later deck would be my choice to look at.

most of the stoves in the 500 series were overkill, the buried access to the motor a pain in the ass; the batteries require an gorilla to move, or check; and the port cockpit storage is a back breaker. I don't know when they flipped over from the 3/4 to 1 in. shaft, but that would also be something to look at.

however 505 is not for sale for at least another 4 years.

Good afternoon Steve,

Yes, we are planning on selling Dexterity. We just finished having a survey conducted by Jim Hilton (J/30 Kaos), to learn her condition from a surveyor's perspective; to help in establishing her value. He has rated her in good condition. I can share his assessment from the survey with anyone who has an interest. I hope to put together a write up on Dexterity shortly, covering her particulars, sail inventory, hardware, etc. If you know of anyone that may have an interest in her, please let me know. She lies presently on the hard at East Greenwich YC, where my wife and I are members.

Thanks and regards,

Greg Dexter

Thanks for the response Dexter. Post the listing on the "For Sale" page here-I have a few possible buyers who might be very interested.
