Drive shaft came out of the boat during a 40 mile motor sail.
Boat took on water but did not sink - owner sailed the boat to the final destination - approx. 15 miles, after plugging shaft hole and pumping out water

Drive shaft is still with the boat, it slid out of the stuffing box but the rudder kept it from exiting the strut

The boat is in rough shape and would be considered a fixer upper
Boat does not have a cradle; it is sitting on a borrowed J/30 cradle that is for sale by owner.
