My severely disabled daughter's needs generally dictate my time. We got her into a Medicaid waiver about a year ago and have 70 hours of nursing a week now. Finding that I have time again, I've been back at it.

The rebuild continues and is over the hump. The complete gelcoat strip of the bottom was a heck of a lot of work. Awesome exercise though!

One of the advantages of J/30 ownership is the double therapeutic effect ... sailing ... and working with your hands ... both requiring concentration.

nice blog start ... with some pretty serious work done ... I personally would have picked up a really beat up Ferrari if I needed to do it one more time.

But now that I think of it ... maybe this winter I will get to do something on 505 ... since I haven't really worked on it since 1984.

I love the inlay on the nav table.

Posted a pick of my floor support solution on the blog. Stringers to replace the verm and a couple extra "floors" at either end of the keel sump.

Hope to have a new floor within a few weeks.
