J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Davits on a 30?

So I'm think of alternative ways to keep the battery bank charged up while cruising this summer. In my imagination,I was thinking that if I were to build myself some davits I could mount a solar panel and haul up the tender to reduce drag. Has anyone used/seen davits on a J30? Any impressions or recommendations?
