I need to replace the barrel on a Barient 21 secondary. Barient being out of business that part is no longer available and I haven't been able to find a used 21 with same 5 bolt mounting pattern.

I'm trying to avoid drilling more holes, that being the case does anyone know which if any Harken, Lewmar etc. winches may have the same mounting bolt pattern as this Barient.

Thanks,
Karl Bourque

I can confirm that the bolt pattern is different when I had to replace a cabin top winch on Rhapsody. Even a replacement Barient 21 I found in a consignment shop had a different pattern - go figure.

Consider drilling new holes in the winch base. I replaced the two small halyard winches. The winches on my boat had 5 bolts. The used winches I bought came off an older J30. Those winches had 4 holes. I drilled new holes in the winch base that lined up with the holes in the deck
