Hi Fellas! I am the proud owner of #35 Screamin' O. Just got it home and am going thru the boat. One thing I've found in some pretty bad chafe on the jib foil. I used to race on a boat that used some sort of a guard on the foil so the spin guys and sheets would not tear it up so bad.

What's the current thinking on this? Kevlar tape or something?

UHMW Anti Chafe Tape - McMaster Carr has it in various sizes. Here is 2" wide by .012" thick. You can get anti-chafe tape that people refer to as "Million Dollar tape" at many rigging shops. It's the same stuff.

Is anything used on the radiused edge of the hull/deck just outside of the toe rail? I see that being a prime spot for dings, scrapes and line burns.

You can use the same type tape. I use it on my J/109 adjacent to the cleats for dock line chafe, the furling line and my traveler. You see it less than 6 feet away - after that, you don't see it on white gelcoat.
