Fellas:

I'm assuming the plumbing strap setup is not the correct way this is supposed to be setup-- See attached photo, please. Can anyone please help me with a photo of a properly equipped boom end fitting or offer any other advice on rehabbing this item.

Joe, there should be a pulley on each side for reef lines, the centre pulley is your outhaul.

Looks like the pulley in the picture is gone and replaced with a washer.

It should look like this as shown on the Rigrite page.

Thanks for the image and the link. So, now I am looking for the Cams-- I refuse to purchase anything further from RigRite. I will fab the sheaves and stainless plates. The cams are beyond my capabilities. If any has the parts, I'm interested.

Gooseneck Reef Cam - Port: K-11246P:
Gooseneck Reef Cam - Starboard: K-11246S:
New-Style Cast aluminum Cam lever fits on 3/8" bolt and has recesses for special friction-lock washers, K-10862 (2 included). Specify Port or Starboard.

Hey man,

Screw the cams. Not wanting to give the jerks at rig rite my business and also being without cams, I lead the reef lines over the pulley, down to a block at the base of the mast, through the deck organizer and back through the clutch. Now I can take on the reef line on the cabin top winches and release the clutch without leaving the cockpit.

I don't have the sheaves either!! What I have is jury-rigged poo! I may make new sheaves and plates and see where it goes from there.

Hi there Bill, if you can think back, did you find that the new style reefing hardware was an improvement over the original setup?
