Hi,

I am about to replace all my running rigging. Does any one have an updated rigging guide as I was wondering if any of the racing sailboats used different diameters ropes other than the ones specified in the rigging guide?

The rigging guide at this link is still pretty good. Depending on the type of sailing you do, can do stripped halyards and spin sheets. The diameters specified work well with the winches and clutches. For spin sheets on Rhapsody I used Endurabraid stripped. I used to strip the halyards for weight savings aloft, but the life was severely shortened with the stripped halyard. I made the mistake once of going with a more "fuzzy" line on the main sheet system. This had too much friction through the sheaves and was a pain, so I switched back.
