I can only imagine that you don't have these anymore. I think I may need to replace mine.

I have a set of pins if you need them. Let me know if needed and make a reasonable offer. Usa1136@yahoo.com

Thanks, it looks like currently I need to reinforce(weld) a hairline crack in the upper rudder gudgeon, or replace that part. I'll let you know if the pins look questionable when I finally can remove them. Currently, the smaller security pins that keep the main pins from lifting out are refusing to come out. I hesitate to hammer them out lest I deform the security pin.

When I had Rhapsody I had a machine shop turn down the pins and drill out the gudgeons. He turned a pair of phosphor bronze inserts that fit between the gudgeons and pintals. This took all play out of it and worked great.

Ah, interesting Bill. Is the idea that the bronze sleeves can be more easily replaced as a part that will wear over time while allowing us to reuse the stainless pin? I suppose that the bronze is also able to resist corrosion better with so much water present?

Do you still have the gudgeons/pintles?
