J/30 Class Association Forums J/30 Forum The Boat, Sails and Equipment Looking to buy a J-30

Hi I am Melissa and I have been racing my SJ24 (MissMayhem) for the last 4 years - I have out grown her and I am actively looking for a J-30 to buy. I have big goals and bigger plans (TransPac! 2023) - I have done th e research and the J-30 is the boat for me. I am based in Seattle but willing to ship. I have cash in hand for the right boat.

I am looking for a boat that is NOT a project boat (unfortunately everyone that has come up for sale has been a major project boat)

If you are thinking of selling you boat and want it to go to someone who will race (and win) please give me a shout.

Chris Tate just bought a J/105 and has his J/30 Blitz for sale. I'm familiar with the boat and it is definitely NOT a project boat. He lives in RI so it would be a cross country trip, but he is selling it with a trailer. Before Chris, the boat was owned by Corey Butlin who worked at Hall Spars so it had all the mast & spreader upgrades installed.

Melissa: Hi, I Live in Friday Harbor and am the original owner of Grasshopper since new. Hauled last year. Hull is in good shape, would need new sails if seriously raced. When the weather improves a little I'm planning to replace the fixed ports, and replace the fuel filter system. Boat is available.
