My starboard spreader failed while stepping the mast and pulling the shroud down through the wired spreader tip. I put too much load on it -- shame. The extrusion cracked longitudinally at the mouth of the spreader, where it mounts onto the SS bracket. But better it fail at the crane dock than while underway, of course.

Might anyone have one, or a set, of spreaders they would like to sell? I am in Toronto, but suspect this search might need a wide geographic net. No sailing my boat until this is fixed.

Thank-you Chris! I was able to get a weld repair and reinforcement done through the good folks at The Rigging Shoppe in Toronto. I appreciate your offer and knowing that you have a boat in Windsor.
