My traveller car jams on the control lines that fall into the slot between the track. This is a major pain in heavy air. What is the best solution to this problem?

I filled the slot in the deck with a piece of mohagany that I milled to the right dimensions. Then I mounted a low-rise Harken track on top of the filler piece. This is a much better solution. The only better solution would be if you were going to repaint the deck anyway. In that case, I'd use foam to fill the slot, then glass over it and finally paint to hide the modification.

As an interim solution, try going down a size or two in your traveller control line. Mine were so thick that they not only got stuck in the track but didnt run well in the blocks adding friction to an already difficult traveller. When I changed to smaller lines (3/8" I think), everything seemed to work a lot better.

But, in the end, Joe's solution is more effective and permanent.
