I'm replacing the sanitation system. I brought new hoses(Odorsafe) which of courses are stiff. On Phantom the outlet for the pumpout fitting is located toward the stern. There is no way the new hose is going to make that turn. has anyone changed the outlet location to the bow side. I search the web posting, but did not find a solution to getting these new solid wall tubes to bend that radically.

If you can't bend the new waste hose, try either soaking it in hot water or carefully heating it with a heat gun (it will melt if you get carried away). When heated the sani hose bends more easily.

Most of the boats I've seen have the deck pumpout fitting near the bow, close to the holding tank. No matter where you run the hose, Geoff is correct on heating it. I installed mine when it was 20 degrees outside to keep the odor down, and residual "stuff" solid. The heat gun did the trick on making the hose flexible.

[The oulet I was referring to was the one on the tank. The old hose takes a pretty radical turn to go under the tank to the pump out fitting. I going to try and thread the hose between the side of the tank and the boat. it will be a tight fit, but It will not have to turn as sharp.

Making the turn is doable if you use a heat gun to slowly bend the radius you need. If you were going to drill another hole in the holding tank (not recommended), I'd drill it on the top and thread a pickup tube to the bottom. That way if there is ever a leak, nothing free flows into the boat. Here's a picture of the holding tank outlet on Rhapsody. The wires connect to the Macerator Pump Switch that wasn't installed when the photo was taken.

Thanks for the picture, thats how I was going to do it with out the y-valve. It looks like you have the same hose and it fits beside the tank.
