I'm also interested in finding a used sail (hopefully lightly used)-a race cut recent vintage #2. Anyone out there interested in getting rid of one of these? E-mail me at sbuzbee@yahoo.com.

Interesting catch. My 1980 J30 hull #233 "Cigar" sank in Katrina in the Miami area so this could be it. The year is obviously wrong since J30's weren't made after 1984. Could be that my insurance company is auctioning it off. There was damage to the hull on the rear starboard just above the waterline and the boat sat in the water for about 3 days before it could be salvaged.

Forgot to mention that I have a never-used mylar #1 163, three lightly used spinnakers, and one moderately used #3, and a moderately used storm jib. I personally never used any of these sails in five years of owning the boat and always kept them off the boat in dry storage. Please email me at jsevil@yahoo.com if interested.

Hey there gang...sadly, the boat for auction seems to be "Starlight Express" which also went down in Katrina. The owner is still grieving...he said the whole side was torn out by his dock...I don't think he wants to talk about it, but he was still in shock when I went to see his sails. Julian, I will call you this week...I think I can use one of your spinnakers... jdoe@onebox.com

Robert - How did you make out with Wilma blowing through Marco Island? I still have a complete set of sails from Rhapsody available that you indicated you wanted to buy. Send me an e-mail or call, I think you've got my contact info.

Regards,
Bill

I have a used main, spinaker and #3. All have from 15 to 25 races on them and are in good shape. #3 is dacron but I might be interested in selling a kevlar #3. Some used on the Annapolis fleet champion the last 2 years.

For any of you J30 sailers who lost their boats in the storms. I have a J28 and I'm looking for headsails with a #6 luff tape and a 32' 5" luff lenght (I have a furler). I do some PHRF racing on NB and would be interested any any sails that may fit. you can e-mail me at jfws88@cox.net
