Apparently we are missing a spinnaker sheet, which leads to an opportunity to buy a couple of new ones. What are people using, and is there any advantage ot the extra cost of a super-low stretch line?

John, low stretch sheets really do make a difference when beam/close reaching. The guy just doesn't "bounce" at all. With dacron sheets, the sheet would stretch and bounce against the headstay frequently. I think that I'm currently using T-900, which is a Spectra/polyester blend. It's also one of the most affordable of the high-tech lines.

I agree that low stretch sheets defintely help. A local rigger made me a set of tapered sheets - bare spectra from the shackle back, then with fuzzy polyester cover for the part that goes around winches and ends up in the trimmers hand. I think Layline will make up tapered sheets as well. This avoids the hassle of having light and heavy spinnaker sheets (the way my boat was set up when I bought it).

You can use the new Samson Warpspeed line. It has a spectron core with polyester cover.
The cover can be stripped off. Chicago Yachting and Navigation can make up these lines for you. Just ask for Charlie
