Gustav brought in, reportedly, about a 7 ft storm surge and winds that topped out in the mid 50's in the New Orleans area. All indications are that the J30 fleet is unscathed, which is a nice change from the pounding the fleet took in 2005.
I have seen Rambunctious, Hot Chocolate, Jalapeno, Black Magic, Land Shark, Cuba Libre and Zelda and there is no damage to any of these boats.
I've heard that Toy Box, Jackpot and Zephyr are also fine.

Glad to hear that everyone made it through this time. Looks like New Orleans dodged the bullet on this one.

IKE REPORT Like Gustav, Ike brought in high winds and storm surge. The breeze wasn't quite as strong, but it blew for a couple of days. The storm surge was greater with Ike than with Gustav; Ike was a HUGE storm. I hope our neighbors to our west did as well as possible. There remains no damage to report this time also. Photos are in the link below. I had to return to the marina after attempting to check on the boat in chest high water. This is 2 to 3 feet below the max water level. If you go to the site, click on the photos to enlarge. The pilings are still wet at about the high point of the water. http://www.rambunctiousracing.com/ike.html ![[Linked Image from rambunctiousracing.com]](http://www.rambunctiousracing.com/sitebuilder/images/collage2-600x600.jpg)

ZV2 is fine. I am giving her a bath tomorrow! Here are the results from her last race this past Wednesday. This was her first race in J/30 type of winds. Wednesday Night Regatta Results - 9/10/2008 [This message has been edited by David Erwin (edited 09-14-2008).]
