it is time to replace the stove/ oven on uproar(1985 hull# 526). has anyone done this?
any recommendations as to what stove to use or which one fits?

Origo makes a two burner model that operates on non-pressuriazed alcohol. Drops right in to the existing opening. Its the Origo 4000. Works nicely for us.

I've also made the switch to the Origo stove. It's a much better stove than the original pressurized one.

THE STOVE THAT I AM REFERRING TO IS A TASCO W/ OVEN. IS THIS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON LATER HULL NUMBERS?

Ah, therein lies the problem. Most of us have older boats that didnt come with an oven. Must be nice to have that problem. Anybody listening have one of the newer designs with the L-shaped galley?

Replaced the stove in Hurricane Hull 535 with the Origio 2 burner/oven. Had to fabricate new wooden blocks for the sides of the 2 bulkheads where the stove attaches for the gimball points. Stove works fine and still gimballs.Anybody no the weight difference between the original and the Origio???
