David, thanks for asking. We're doing ok. It could have been much, much worse. I've just spent the day walking and dinghying around Annapolis. It's pretty amazing here... people were swimming the traffic circle near City Dock! The Eastport Yacht Club, where we keep Mondial, was completely surrounded by floodwaters at 7:00 this morning. I had put Mondial diagonally across 3 slips and then "spidered" about 15 lines from her to the dock to keep her centered in that space. She seems to have weathered the storm fine. My guess is that it's going to take months to get everything cleaned up and back to normal. We haven't had electricity in our neighborhood since 8:15 PM last night and most of the annapolis area is without power.

For everyone who asked about the Chesapeake Bay folks, here are some great shots of Annapolis, in general and EYC, in particular. This is a web page that Sandy Grosvenor (one of the RC members for the NAs) put up. Several of the shots show how I turned Mondial across 3 slips so that it was facing east.

Sandy Grosvenor's Hurricane Isabel web site

Here are 2 shots taken from almost exactly the same spot on the EYC deck which show the level of storm surge that we saw in Annapolis. The first one was taken on Thursday afternoon as the storm was building. The next one was taken on Friday morning shortly after the surge crested. Where did the marina go?!
