Is there a decent way of towing a tender when cruising w/out the outboard rudder being a problem?

Hi Bob,

I have no problem with the rudder. Here is what I do.

I have about a 15 foot painter that I tie to the top stern rail on the starbord side just off center. Then I tie a 1/4 inch line from the dingy to the stern cleat on the starbord side. I leave this a bit longer so there is no load on it. It is just for backup. I have had dingies swamp and I use it incase this happens. The trick is to get the painter short enough that the nose of the dingy sits up and will clear the waves, that is why I tie it to the top rail, down to the stern cleat is to low and I find it nose dives sometimes.

Hope this is helpful.
