We're planning to take Arbella way down east this summer, leaving Marion, MA around July 6, and heading for Grand Manan and Campobello in the Bay of Fundy. Will any other J/30s be in those parts?

If you have time, you should consider coming up to the St. John River for some great cruising. Fog free, warm water, beautiful anchorages....There are 2 J30s actively racing (including mine) at the Royal Kennebeccasis Yacht Club, and one other in the area who cruises. Passamaquoddy Bay is good for cruising also, and the big attraction to Grand Manan will be whale watching, especially along the 100 fathom curve just southeast of the island. Not sure how many whales will be around in early July, but later in August the Right Whales come here.

If you want further information on cruising in our area, or have questions, let me know at roulton@smss.com

Hi Richard -

Thanks for your reply. My wife and I plan to start with Grand Manan, then go where the wind and tides carry us in the limited time we have. Passamaquoddy Bay, Campobello, and the St. John River all rank high on our list.
If we get up to your club, we may give you a call.
