The Larchmont NOOD is looming on the Horizon. Who's planning on going? The organizers have once again asked whether we want two days of racing or three. We need to have an answer for them in the next few weeks. The regatta is September 10,11, and 12.

Youthful Indiscretion plans to be there. We can do three days. Who else is going to show?

Blue Meanie will be there, although I would prefer just the two day version due to many lost workdays for the NA's.

We will try to be there. I vote for only 2 days as well.

OK, my current count is:

Youthful Indiscretion
Laser Beam
Smiles
(coming down from Cedar Point)

Excalibur
Chinook
(City Island)

Blue Meanie
(Raritan)

Surely we can rustle up a few more J/30s, especially from the west end of the sound, since we've got four out of the six going a
fair distance to make the regatta.

LIS Sailors,
We need to decide whether to sail 2 or 3 days at the Larchmont NOOD! Crews have to ask for time off from work if we are going to race on Friday. I would prefer to race just Saturday and Sunday, but will go with the consenus. Our fleet made the Larchmont NOOD the East Coast Championship and the National Class donated a Perpetual Half Hull Award for this event. We need to let the Regatta organizers know this. Paddy Wagon should still have the Half Hull. Has anybody seen or heard from Joe McCann this summer?

What is the final verdict? Two or three days?

I spoke to David Levine on Sunday July 22. David stated he planned to inform the NOOD Committee that the J30s will sail a two day event, Saturday and Sunday. I'll see you there!

Anyone have a spare aluminum spinnaker pole? My pole has gone "missing." Last I saw it was in the basement of my club, now it is nowhere to be found. Have you seen it on ebay?. I have a perfectly good carbon fiber one, but class rules don't allow it yet (or maybe ever).
This could be a make or break decision for Larchmont.
