Late fee for Larchmont if your entry is in after the 27th. There is an online entry form at sailingworld.com However, you cannot select a 30' boat, either 25-29' or 31-39'. I chose 25-29' because it is $20 less.

Ed, I have a spare pole. It's about 1 inch too short. One of the ANCO ends broke and I replaced it with a forespare end. The forespare end is shorter. It only has one wire bridle. You will need to add one. Rope line is legal!

Well, we had eight boats show up for the Larchmont NOOD, a nice solid turnout. A huge thanks to everyone who came out and raced, especially the folks who had to deliver from Raritan and Cedar Point.

Ed Austin, with Chinook, started with a bang, (in fact 3 bullets and a 5th) on Saturday, and then held on with a 4 and a 3 on Sunday to hold off Eric Robins and Laser beam, who seemed determined to set a record for consistency, posting *five* thirds in a row before breaking out with a bullet on the final race to lock down second place. He had John McArthur's Smiles and Steve Buzbee's Blue Meanie close behind, with John pulling out the third and Steve the fourth. Paddy Wagon rounded out the top pack, and Youthful Indiscretion, Excalibur and Anticipaion battled hard in the back.

Larchmont YC's NOOD RC did a stellar job, banging out four races on Saturday, and two more on Sunday. The racing was competitive, with a three way tie for second after Saturday's racing, and everything up for grabs until the final race.

If you skipped this race, you missed out on some steller racing, and a really good regatta.

Just to make the story more interesting, Chinook had two of his three bullets after being over early. Talk about a big comeback!

Really incredible racing (until that last race!). Let's get at least 10 boats out next year.

Definitely was a fun regatta. We hadn't raced one design since the J-30 NA's in Chicago. Don't know where any pictures of the NOOD are. I haven't been able to find any photos of the NOOD on any of the marine photography web sites I know of.

Our new strategy to win races - start OCS, restart and go right. We didn't execute it on the 2 races on Sunday - no bullets.
