Hi,

looking into buying boat stands,
choice between SB-1 ( 64"- 79")
or SB-2 ( 48"- 65")
I assume i need SB-2 but just want to double check...

cheers,

Stefan

Before you invest in new jackstands I would urge you to look at what would be the added cost of buying a trailer instead. The extra cost may be recovered in transportation fees and allow you to bring the boat to cheaper winter storage. In addition, it would allow you to bring the boat to regattas that would otherwise be inconvenient. I wish I had the option when buying my boat. My club allows inexpensive winter storage up to 30' but only on a trailer.

I was looking into that as well,
but there are hardly any used trailers on the market,
if you know of one ,let me know,
for now i am already saving by putting it on stands in my backyard...

update:

bought the SB-1,
boat stands a little higher, added a few blocks underneath the keel,
makes working at the bottom a little easier...
