This thread was started as a resource for everyone to use while cruising. The intention is to provide cruising information for Navigation support, and places to stop / stay. Files can be uploaded with waypoint and chart info too.

Please reply to this thread and add your personal cruising info to help others plan their cruises.

I'll start with the following, some of which has already been posted in other threads.

Newport, RI to Cedar Point YC (Westport, CT) - This is a direct route 100.5nm. The zip file contains Garmin Mapsource V3 file, pdf Maptech charts, and tide charts (obsolete)
Other File Formats - Garmin V2, GPX Exchange Format, and a text file. All in the attached Zip file

Southern New England Cruising Routes - Garmin Mapsource V3 file with the following routes. These will also get you from Newport to Marblehead for the 2010 J/30 North American Championship! Some of these are route segments that are pieced together to create a total route. Many of the routes are inside Narragansett Bay to get you to various locations. Narragansett Bay is a nice place to cruise with lots of destinations available. Good sight seeing, good food and good sailing. You can probably even catch a race at one of the clubs during sailing season.

CCC is Cape Cod Canal Breakwater on Mass Bay side, CHNYC is Newport Navy Marina. You'll need to time your trip and plan for tidal currents if going through Woods Hole or the Cape Cod Canal. Other area tidal currents are a factor, but manageable.
