Has anyone tried using the Lewmar medium profile hatch as a replacement for the forward hatch (as opposed to the Lewmar Ocean model)? Based on the spec of the hatch, it looks strong enough, and Lewmar advertises it as "ideal as foredeck hatch on larger offshore yachts"

Looking at http://www.lewmar.com/product-listing.asp?action=search&type=19 pretty sure we had all medium profile Lewmar hatches installed in 2008. Doubt it is the low profile based on description and certain it is not the Ocean based on the pictures. Two seasons of hard use with kite launched from hatch, including dogging the hatch with spin sheets attached and banging against the mast (which must be padded!). Had to replace the one of the frame joint connectors when it broke this summer ($39 http://www.selectplastics.com/). Otherwise satisfied and a big improvement over original equipment.
