Jim - Thanks for the greeting from across the pond. Here's wishing a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays to all the J/30 Sailors out there.

We had a little snow this past weekend giving us a White Christmas.

And from 1500 miles south ... the rare times we see youngsters on Vee Jay ... two sisters, daughters of crew member Mike ... one home from law school, one on Xmas break --jr high.

On a traditional Vee Jay Xmas week spin run down Naples Beach ... If you look really closely they are looking at a tiny, tiny set of orange sails we finally caught up with off Keewaydin Isl. We spotted them coming down from Ft Myers when we hit our upwind turn at Dr. Pass.

"Thurston," a who knows what, with a couple of really dedicated sailor/campers apparently on their way to the ten thousand islands.

hard hatch sealable cabin, oars, leeboards ... real sailors I would think. Probably with a goal of at least 50 miles a day on their Christmas break.
