I just returned safely from the NAs in Chicago. The logistics of running a major regatta in the downtown erea of a major city is difficult at best. I would like to thank Dennis Bartley, Family and crew and Mike Bird and friends for getting it all done!

Most importantly I'd like to thank "JT" and the Race Committee for outstanding work. This was my 8th NAs and this committees work on the water, was the best by far! Getting three quaility races in on Saturday between Thunder Storms and Tornado Warning was unbelievable. (We didn't even get rained on!) The Windward Leeward Courses were great, and the lines were square. The Committee caught every wind shift, moving the windward mark making the beats and runs always fair. The late addition to the committee was a good one as well. Thank You!

John McArthur "Smiles"

PS; Some work to the wize. Measure twice cut once, alway recheck your work, and aviod Ohio at all cost!

For a great article about the 2001 NA's, check out the New Orleans YC site to read how Zephyr put it all together.

Congratulations the entire Zephyr organization!!!
Also, I can reiterate John McC's praise to the RC at Columbia YC.

John, we would like to hear more about how to trailer your boat - especially thru Ohio.
